Research and education journal indexed in Medline Nursing

The journal  Nursing Research and Education (ISSN: 0120-5307) will be indexed in Medline, bibliographic index broader and prestigious area of health in the world.

Following the announcement of The National Library of Medicine, soon journal articles published by the Faculty of Nursing at the University of Antioquia, may be obtained directly from PubMed. Research and Nursing Education thus becomes the first nursing journal to be recognized in the country as far in Colombia only two journals had been included in this index:  Biomedical , National Institute of Health and Medical Colombia, of University Valle.

Uninterruptedly for 32 years, Research and Education in Nursing has published 710 articles that have been compiled in 67 numbers, in order to legitimize, store and convey precise record of scientific knowledge of nursing, to make it accessible worldwide.

The magazine classified in category A2 in the IBN Publindex Colciencias and major indexing and abstracting systems such as Thomson Reuters Web of Science, SciELO Citation Index, Cuiden, Lilacs-Medicine®, Cibere, Ebsco Academic Source, Elsevier EmCare, ProQuest is , among others. Mara de los Angeles Rodriguez Vazquez, current editor of  Research and Education in Nursing, and Catalina Ochoa Marín, dean of the School of Nursing, thanked the previous 11 publishers who devoted their best efforts for the continuation and improvement of publication.

They also expressed the importance of recognizing the authors who have written on the pages of the magazine, academics who have been part of the scientific and editorial committees, those who participated in the evaluation of the articles, members editing equipment, and above all, readers who have been part of this space for reflection on knowledge aimed at improving care for people.
